  • If you're interested in Canadian history, this has to be on your list of go-to museums. Even if I've been multiple times, I always love dropping by on Wednesdays when there's free admission and checking out their new exhibitions!

Nice museum, but rather costly admission considering the size of the exhibitions. I did really enjoy the photography of Montreal over the years, however. I found it to be a very good mix of extensive photography and popular media items from different times in the city's history. Other displays were not up to standard, in my opinion, but excellent photography exhibit.

  • Bit pricey at $20 (I went on Wednesday for the cheaper cost, but I guess I came too early in the day..? So I paid in full. That said, before I paid I saw a couple exhibits by going through the store, and somehow kept going through the exhibits through their exits because I could not find the entrances. An employee only said something about buying a ticket once I realized I should probably look for a starting place for the EXPO exhibit and purposely passed the "sortie" entrance by. I don't know what the lady at the front desk was doing to let me wander around as I please.) I saw the "Wearing Our Identity -- The First Peoples Collection" first, and it convinced me to stay. It set the trend of small, sad exhibit if you just skim through it, but thoroughly satisfying and interesting if you read and look at everything. This one is the best one there in my opinion though. The others I saw were the Illusions, fashion, and Aislin ones. It's only worth the price if you actually read and take everything in though. If you like zooming past artifacts and photos, a different museum might be a better choice.
