  My family and I were there on Saturday evening for a group event. Unfortunately, except for the EXCELLENT service, the balance of our evening was quite unpleasant (to say the least). First of all, they literally crammed us into the restaurant like sardines. The chairs were so close together that if someone needed to get up, the person sitting behind had to get up as well. As if that wasn't t enough, they claim to have air conditioning which was basically non-existent......we literally baked!!! My husband had to help the wait staff deflect air from a floor vent that was basically under a table and which made it too cold for the lady sitting above it. The food was mediocre at best, wilted salad and cold main courses. As if this wasn't enough, there was a fully empty section at the front of the restaurant, which I imagine they were keeping for walk-ins, which to me, is greedy because instead of servicing the people who pre-paid correctly, they were holding out for more guests. Would not return......

  Two bottles of wine were necessary because my accountant, who honoured me with some free advice, also enjoyed the atmosphere and service so much, we stayed for more good food well into the night. We were enlightened by the rich history and background of the establishment and it's very interesting owner. He in turn showed us his many informal dining spaces for family or a business get together. I'm already reserving for my brother's birthday!
