  This restaurant was unbelievably good. We were here last week and had the tasting menu. The octopus was amazing, not chewy at all and had a nice char flavor. The lamb was also outstanding. In fact there was nothing in the whole meal that was short of excellent. One of the best restaurants I have ever been to.

  Damas is an experience like none I've had before. While I've had generic Mediterranean and middle-eastern cuisine, it was quick service and never specifically labeled to be any particular region. So when we saw Damas, a fine dining restaurant that was Syrian, we decided to try something new. We were not disappointed. Every dish was incredible. The flavors were amazing and even the spicy dishes were just spicy, not hot. My husband was in love with the lamb while I though the seabass was outstanding. The hummus was hands down the best I've ever had with a velvety smooth texture and a complexity I've never had in that dish. The service was also remarkable - everyone was attentive and friendly. I was also very happy when one of them told me some of the staff were recent Syrian refugees and that the owner, who is from Syria, does what he can to help out those fleeing to Canada. That touched me deeply. If we end up back in Montreal again for the Grand Prix, we will definitely experience Damas again.

  Best dinner in recent memory. Our favorite Montreal dining experience. We went with tasting menu and each dish was divine. Service and ambiance were excellent. If ever back in Montreal would return to Damas!

  I love love this place!!! Exceptional food and Customer Service!!! It was our first time in Montreal and me and my husband decided to go to Damas based on the recommendations online and man were we super happy customers. We went in not realizing that we should have booked reservations, which you definitely should because it's a really busy place! So, we ended up having to sit at the front and Ben, the man at the front was super nice and managed to get us a table. He wasn't a server but always checked up on us till the end of his shift. He went out of his way to make sure that we were well taken care of! That to me says a lot about the people who work there. On top of that, the elegance and ambiance of the restaurant is amazing! Last but not the least the FOOD is to die for! Before we got the main dishes, we were told that we would enjoy every single bite and they couldn't have been more correct! All in all LOVE THIS PLACE and is certainly a must dine in place when in Montreal!

  Fantastic Syrian restaurant. The best Fatouche in the world. Amazing traditional Syrian dishes. Tonight people at our table were fawning over some of the best dishes they have ever had. Not cheap - about $40 per main dish. The appetizers are incredible - we ordered several of them to share. Highly recommended. There is a reason why this place is always full. We went on a Tuesday night at 6pm and it was full. Get a reservation.
