  Before I order home delivery from any new restaurant, I always visit the place. I have been both surprised and shocked at some of the places I've seen. I've read the reviews below before heading out to Lachine Tasty and the overall feeling seems to be that the food is good but service is slow. I've been desperate to find a decent pizza in the neighborhood so it sounded promising as long as I was willing to wait (I will wait (and pay) for great tasting food). Entering the restaurant is a bit of a time warp (I went on a Saturday evening around 8:30 PM). The place is large, the staff is older and there was even a one man band singing for the patrons (He was actually very good and we all applauded one of his songs). There appeared to be a small dance floor but I didn't visit that section. I walked to the cash counter and ordered a medium sized all-dressed pizza. The server asked me if I wanted some coffee while I waited. I said no since it was late at night. We chatted a bit, I asked for a copy of the take out menu and paid for my order. The price was reasonable compared to some other restaurants on this street that resort to gimmicks like including pop & fries to jack the price (and mediocre food). Once the transaction was completed, she asked me again: "Are you sure I can't interest you in a coffee while you wait for your pizza"? I accepted this time. The service is absolutely terrific! She even informed nearby servers that I had already paid for my order so they should be on the lookout once the pizza is ready. And, as i finished drinking my coffee, the pizza was ready and i was handed the box so that seemed quite speedy to me (the place was not very busy when I went so maybe that could explain why others below complain of wait times). Once home, I opened the pizza box. Wow! The ingredients were plentiful and fresh. The crust was cooked perfectly so that it could hold the toppings without being soggy or crunchy. The rim of the crust was really good as it was fluffy on the inside (very rare for me to eat the edge of the crust). The sauce was perfectly spiced, not bland. It was a tad bit greasy from the loads of melted cheese but that's how I like it. This is not your 2-for-1 deal that tastes like nothing... this is the real deal! The place reminded me of a home restaurant I used to go to many years ago. It has that homey feeling. I'm sure that the breakfast crowd must be quite popular as it has that great vibe feeling with generous food and truly friendly service. I am now a fan of Lachine Tasty and you can be assured that I will be a repeat customer.
