  • Beautiful gardens with highly educational aspects sewn in seamlessly amongst the walking paths. From loosing the kids for a good run around while secretly filling their heads with information to a romantic stroll through a lush, fragrant landscape at sunset to arrive at the inspiring lantern festival will ensure those around you will seek out your future adventures.

It's a nice place to go for a walk. The insectitoruim was lacking living insects and mostly had dead ones pegged to boards. There were 2 gardens that I would have liked to see on the map but... the water garden wasn't even build and the mandarin garden was under renovations. I understand the need to build and renovate but we didn't see any postings regarding this until we arrived at the select gardens. The green house is very interesting, and we'll as the poisonous plant exhibit. Another disappointing thing, which is not exactly their fault. When you search of the botanical gardens on google images, and on google maps too, there are a lot of interesting plant and flower sculptures to see. Unfortunately as it turns out those were a temporary exhibit form a few years ago, and they are long gone. That was upsetting as it was the main reason I wanted to go. Also if you go to "eat insects" expect to wait a while for your food (20min on a Monday afternoon) unless you get ice cream, that is served fast. Also I witnessed the staff at the restaurant drop plates all over the floor, and they just picked them up and put them back on the stack. No health concerns are not top priority. To sum it up, it's still a nice afternoon in the park, but I would avoid the insectatorium.
