  Interesting museum on the history of Montreal. A good spot to escape the rain! Unlike museums in the UK you need to pay to get in. Upstairs features more recent history.

  Large museum with minimal exhibits. Gives brief history of montreal. Numerous other museums in the city give more detailed historical information. Museum of archeology down the street or Ramsey house. They do have a fascinating and very unique exhibit about Montreal's shady history during prohibition and the criminal element during the 50's, 60's, 70's, not found in other museums. The exhibit called Scandal is Worth the small admission fee alone.
