  When we stay in Montreal, we always stop there. We love it. The best there is, hope there was a place closer to home here in Florida, these guys would make a killing..... and for the price, you get what you pay for, the best. Thanks

  They are one of the few remaining authentic Syrian Pastry shops from Aleppo in the world! Having pastry from Mahrouseh was a big deal when I was a child because it was so good and hard to get. Mahrousseh moved to Montreal in the 80's and set up two shops eventually, both Centred around the Armenian communities. When he died he left the two stores for each of this sons. They operate them independently now and have adapted the recipes a little. Enough for me to recognize the best in both shops. The Liege store makes the best Mahmoul and has the better presentation, but the store on DuDemaine makes the best Halawa B'Jibneh IN THE WORLD!
