  We had the good fortune to land a last-minute reservation at Tandem during a weekend trip to Montreal. Each course introduced a new layer of flavors and textures that built upon each other. The salmon mousse crostini opened our taste buds for the delectable and carefully crafted dishes that followed. I had the chef's foie gras, which melted in my mouth like butter, on a wafer thin cracker. The main course of beef tabs in a wine glaze with thyme was aromatic and rich in flavor. We ordered each of two desserts and were both reluctant to share with the other! My chocolate molten cake with ganache and salted butter caramel seemed to swirl the perfect balance of smoky chocolate and nutty caramel while avoiding any overwhelming sweetness. Chef Pascal Turgeon created an exquisite meal with, quite obviously, the finest of ingredients. We look forward to dining again at Tandem on our next visit to Montreal.

  I went there for Montreal à Table. Everything was delicious. It stays simple but at the same time the combination of ingredients and flavors is very good. I will go back for sure.
